About the Founders
Internationally-recognized for her iconic freestanding works and site-specific sculptural environments, Barbara Grygutis has been commissioned to create over 75 large-scale works of public art throughout North America that integrate into urban and natural settings such as, sculpture gardens, public plazas, gateways, memorials, and monuments. In addition to public art installations, her sculptures have been exhibited at The Smithsonian Institute in Washington, DC; The Socrates Sculpture Park in Long Island City, New York; The Bronx Museum in New York City; and The Parker Collection for the Vice-President’s House and the White House.
Throughout his career as an attorney and inventor, Steve Kimble nurtured his artistic side by designing and building unique sculpture in steel. Steve is an Arizona native and an award-winning artist who for the last twenty years has been transforming ordinary objects into unique one-of-a-kind indoor and outdoor furnishings, lighting fixtures, and sculpture. With time he envisioned, designed and built the Metal Arts Village, a collection of twelve studios where artists of various disciplines work both individually and collaboratively. Steve also privately tutors budding artists wanting to learn welding and steel fabrication.
A founding partner of the Hacienda Del Sol Guest Ranch Resort in Tucson, Jeff Timan is largely responsible for the exquisite landscaping & sculpture garden that makes Hacienda stand-out among world-class resorts. With a life-long passion for food, music and art, Jeff has a penchant for sculpture which he creates by welding found objects. In addition to exhibiting his own work, he’s the curator of the 100+ art collection that includes sculptures, paintings, pottery, photography and tile murals displayed throughout the 34-acre resort. Jeff is an advocate for making art accessible to all.
