Sculpture is Joy!

SculptureTucson is a non-profit organization committed to being a creative hub for the creation, visibility and appreciation of sculpture. Our vision is to inspire and engage people through three-dimensional art.

Our goals include sustaining the annual Sculpture Festival; establishing a public sculpture park; placing sculpture in public spaces; creating community-based educational programs; and becoming a resource for artists, patrons and diverse local and international multi-cultural communities.

Tucson is Amazing!

Tucson is no longer a quiet Sonoran town known just for its warm days and cool nights. With more than a million full-time residents and a strong seasonal population which represents between 3.5 million to 6 million temporary residents and short-term visitors. Tucson is a vibrant growing community built in large part on arts of every kind: architecture, painting, photography, dance, music, poetry, and of course, sculpture play a major role in the cultural landscape of this growing city.

With Mexico one hour to the south and Phoenix one hour to the north, Tucson stands uniquely with one foot in its rich southwest history and the other in the future of a contemporary urban center.

Tucson is UNESCO’s 2017 City of Gastronomy and offers amazing experiences for residents and visitors:

  • Wonderful museums and galleries

  • Countless restaurants, pubs, and music venues

  • Over 100 miles of bike trails

  • A world-renowned astronomy research center

  • Hiking and sightseeing above and below ground
